We had a great time at the Annual General Meeting of our trade association the Kbsa last week.
The Kbsa was established in 1978 to promote the highest standards of professionalism and workmanship within the industry, and to provide consumers with an assurance of quality.
Today the association has hundreds of specialist retail members supported by over 100 of the industry’s best known manufacturers. All Kbsa members follow an Approved Code of Conduct and are subject to strict monitoring to make sure consumer’s get the best professional service available.
We joined the Kbsa last year as membership enables us to offer our customers an unrivalled level of confidence that they are dealing with a reputable retailer.
At the AGM the Kbsa Chair presented the future strategy of the Kbsa. He said, “We have a clear mission to work ‘Better Together’ and be a powerful and legitimate voice for the sector.”
Sir Clive Woodward was the keynote speaker in a line-up that included entrepreneur Richard Askam and respected property journalist and broadcaster Michael Holmes.
Sir Clive used his experience as the World Cup winning head coach who led England’s rugby players to World Cup glory in Australia in 2003 and director of sport for Team GB at the London 2012, Vancouver 2010 and Beijing 2008 Olympics, to share his thoughts on how to build a team and the importance of ‘teamship’.
It was a pleasure for Max to meet Sir Clive after the event.
